With a career spanning four decades, Jeff has advised institutional and entrepreneurial owners across major office markets nationwide. His expertise in leasing, marketing, and strategic deal-making has helped shape portfolios for clients such as The Farbman Group, KBS, UBS, Ameriprise Financial, Equis, and First Winthrop Properties.
In 2003, Jeff and his business partner, Laurence B. Elbaum, founded Bradford Allen Realty Services. Since then, the firm has grown into a premier Chicago-based CRE firm, providing brokerage services both locally and nationally.
Jeff’s career began in New York City in 1981 at Newmark & Co., where he led the conversion of more than 15 properties from manufacturing spaces into modern, loft-style offices. His efforts helped transform Midtown South into one of Manhattan’s leading creative office districts. Later, as a senior managing director at Insignia/ESG, he represented landlords and tenants across the country, closing over 7 million square feet in transactions alongside his longtime business partner, Laurence.
Jeff’s approach is insight-driven and results-focused—leveraging market positioning, street-level intelligence, direct prospecting, and strategic negotiations to drive asset performance. His innovative methods continue to deliver measurable value and long-term success for his clients.
