01/

1992

Bradford Allen co-founders Jeffrey Bernstein and Laurence Elbaum first meet as brokers for the venerable Walter & Samuels firm in Manhattan.

02/

1993

The Bernstein-Elbaum team complete 7 of the top 50 transactions in Midtown South, attracting the attention of top brokerages around the city.

03/

1994

Bernstein and Elbaum sign with the esteemed Edward S. Gordon Company, where they quickly rise to the level of senior managing directors at the Midtown office.

04/

2002

The duo cross 7 million square feet of completed transactions in Manhattan. Having helped shape the office landscape of Midtown South, they set their sights on starting their own commercial real estate firm.

05/

2003

Bernstein and Elbaum leave Manhattan to establish Bradford Allen in Chicago, IL. The firm opens its doors at 55 E. Jackson Blvd. on March 31, 2003.

06/

2019

Bradford Allen moves its Downtown Chicago headquarters office to 300 S. Wacker Drive on September 23, 2019, occupying the entirety of the building’s top floor.

07/

2023

The firm establishes its Multifamily division with three investment acquisitions on Chicago’s North side: The Henry and The Monark in Ravenswood and the historic Stewart School Lofts in Uptown.

08/

2024

The Bernstein-Elbaum team complete 7 of the top 50 transactions in Midtown South, attracting the attention of top brokerages around the city.
